Yoga Classes at the Resource Centre

The MS Society, Northern Ireland is currently expanding the amount of Yoga Classes available at the Resource Centre.

Everyone benefits from being physically fit, including people with multiple sclerosis (MS). However MS affects you, there are exercises that can be helpful - to stay as healthy and fit as possible and to improve some of your symptoms and their effects.

It is not always easy to find the time but exercising regularly will keep your body working to its full potential. To make it easier, it is important to find exercise that suits you - something you enjoy and find worthwhile. MS affects each person differently and you will have your own likes and dislikes. While one person enjoys classic sports, another may prefer t'ai chi or yoga. All kinds of physical benefit can be of benefit. Even gardening, cleaning and walking the kids to school use your muscles and help you to stay fit.

However MS affects you, appropriate exercise can make a difference to managing and living with the condition.

With this in mind we may be providing more Yoga classes at different times, in order to try and make the classes more convenient for our members.  To proceed we need a minimum of 12 members for each class.  So if you are interested contact Lesley Clews.
